        Big Bass Theory- www.sirbassa.com

        and

        Third Eye Tribe - www.myspace.com/thirdeyetribe

both of these groups are from BC -live dub with a whole lotta bass!

if you're around the BC area in mid july they will both be playing at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival (btw, our festival received a gov. grant to support our programming of dub music!! the CDN gov supports dub music!! i love that!)

          hahaha awesome..
should be a good fest then

they're paying to support dub at a folk festival? maybe they're bored of folk!

no, more like we're bored of folk! and wrote a pretty convincing grant! ha ha!

we are trying to convey the fact that FOLK music is actually music of the people (we are all 'folk'), whether it be trad. n.american singer/songwriter folk music, folk music of the inner city-ie. hip hop, or folk music of Jamaica (ie. dub)

and i think we're doing a pretty good job of it.

            IN DUB WE TRUST!

Check out the record label "the agriculture" it's mainly comprised of artists from the now extinct illbient genre, many former asphodel artists and such. my personal fav. is Once 11. To me his music defines "future dub".
For more minimal futuristc dub, check out Pole.
I don't know if you would consider Xela's "for frosty mornings and summer nights" to be dub, it's a more like dubby electronica, but it's a really great album.
Everybody seems to love Jan Jelinik, but it seems a little boring to me...
If anybody else can suggest anything similar to this stuff that would be awesome. Thanks.

Any thing touched by Greg Hunter turns to gold.
He's got the the Midas Dub Fingers.

Jack Dangers / Meat Beat Manifesto has done some killer dubby shit. especially the Tino Corp tracks (with Ben Stokes / DHS)

and one of my past future dub favs is Unitone HiFi. the New Zealand scene is really happening today too.

honestly, this list would be incomplete, without mentioning those freaks from The other side, of the down under... Pitch Black. Not only are these guys totally fucking nutz, but their live shows are simply amazing. They are some of the few artists out there, that can build and develop a groove consiting of an evolution from Deep psychedelic dubbeats turned insideout into dark industrial dance rhythems.
